Personnel Committee

The New Waltham Parish Council Personnel Committee is responsible for ensuring that the Council meets its duties as a responsible employer. The Committee exists to support, protect, and develop the Council’s employees by promoting fair, lawful, and transparent employment practices.

The Committee oversees matters relating to staffing, employment policies, wellbeing, training, and performance, ensuring that employees are treated with dignity and respect at all times. It plays a key role in safeguarding the welfare of staff, maintaining confidentiality where required, and ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and best practice.

By providing clear governance and oversight, the Personnel Committee helps create a positive, safe, and professional working environment, enabling employees to carry out their roles effectively in service of the New Waltham community.

The Committee operates with integrity, fairness, and accountability, ensuring that employment-related matters are managed appropriately and in the best interests of both staff and the Council.
